Oxford, MI Homes for Sale and Local Guide
Oxford offers a real small-town downtown about 30 miles north of Detroit along the M-24 corridor. The historic Village of Oxford sits inside Oxford Township, which covers about 35 square miles and is home to more than 22,000 people (2020 Census). Village homes put you within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants, while the township offers larger lots, newer subdivisions and acreage.
Outdoor life is a big draw: the Polly Ann Trail runs through the village and township, and 132-acre Seymour Lake Township Park has sports fields, a splash pad, disc golf and a sledding hill. Most of the township is served by Oxford Community Schools, with a southern section zoned to Lake Orion Community Schools, so it's worth confirming the district for any specific address.
My business is based in Oxford. I help buyers weigh village versus township living, school boundaries and acreage, and I help sellers position their homes in this market.
